Train Tired, Stay Ready
Phillip LaPointShare

You know the feeling: the alarm goes off and it hits different - more like an insult than anything. Maybe you were up late working, dealing with life, or just staring at the ceiling wondering why your brain won’t shut up. Either way, here comes morning. Again.
And like always, it doesn’t care if you slept.
Back when I was active duty, I’d still show up to PT. Half asleep with enough caffeine coursing through my veins to jumpstart a rhino. But I showed up. Not because I was fired up—but because I needed too. It wasn’t motivation. It was routine, stubbornness, whatever you want to call it. That’s what got me through.
Some of the best workouts I ever had came when I was totally wiped. Not because I felt strong, but because I kept moving anyway. Fitness tests, squadron expectations, just trying to stay ahead of the game—it all added up. And somehow, the tired days built something stronger than the easy ones ever could.
Nobody hands out awards for dragging yourself out of bed and doing the work anyway. But those quiet mornings, those “just show up” reps? They count. They build something that doesn’t fade when life gets busy.
At Class 5 Performance, we get it. We’ve been there—half-asleep, behind schedule, still grinding. That’s what our gear is made for. The early mornings. The long days. The moments that count—and the moments people notice.
So yeah, if you’re feeling wiped, but you’re still putting in the work—you’re doing it right.
